2026 Middle School Outreach Ensemble Registration
An Inspiring Music Learning Experience for Developing Middle School Band, Orchestra, and Choir Musicians
Welcome to the registration page for the 2026 Middle School Outreach Ensembles at Colorado State University, held weekly at the University Center for the Arts from February 25 — APRIL 18, 2026. The seven-week program concludes with final concerts in the Griffin Concert Hall.
The Middle School Outreach Ensembles (MSOE) at Colorado State University provide an inspirational music learning experience and opportunities to engage with a broad music community.
The MSOE program is for students currently enrolled in their middle school band, orchestra, or choir who have had at least one year of instruction. Over a period of seven weeks, students receive group lessons and exciting opportunities to engage with music exploration activities.
NOTE: Open to all 7th- and 8th-grade students currently enrolled in their school band, orchestra, or choir. Open to 6th grade by the recommendation of the school music director.

FINAL CONCERT: Saturday, April 18, 12-5:30 p.m.

2026 CSU Jazz Summer Workshop
The summer workshop focuses on small group combo playing and improvisation. All levels are welcome to classes in Jazz theory, Jazz history and listening, as well as instrumental masterclasses. The event includes a faculty recital and student performances. Workshop instructors are drawn from CSU Jazz Faculty members, Wil Swindler, Peter Sommer, Shilo Stroman, Gabe Mervine, David Mesquitic, Seth Lewis, Darren Kramer, and Gabriel Santiago as well as other great Colorado Jazz musicians.

Cost
- $395 for tuition plus meal plan: This package includes participation in the 2026 Jazz Workshop and on-campus lunch from CSU dining services for each day of the workshop. This is for students who will stay on-campus for lunch each day and would like to eat as a group with faculty, counselors, and other students. There are diverse options available each day, and all students will be supervised. The option provides the opportunity to meet others and see some of the campus.
- $350 for tuition only: This package includes participation in the CSU Jazz Summer Workshop for 2026 but does not include a meal plan. This is for students who have their own transportation to eat off campus during the lunch hour or who will bring their own food from home each day.
- Housing is not available for this event

2026 CSU Trumpet Day
The event is designed for trumpet players of ALL AGES AND EXPERIENCE looking for an event that inspires their love of music and all things trumpet.
Trumpet students, teachers, performers, and band directors in Colorado are invited to attend this annual event hosted by CSU trumpet professor Dr. Stanley Curtis. The event features special guests who will discuss their careers and ideas on trumpet playing.

2026 Jazz High School Honor Band Festival
The CSU Jazz High School Honor Band Festival will assemble the top high school jazz students in Colorado for an educational experience focused on strengthening students’ ensemble and improvisational skills while building community among young Jazz musicians. Students will work with CSU faculty for instrumental sectionals and full-ensemble rehearsals.
Thank you for submitting your application for the CSU Jazz High School Honor Band. Please fill out all required fields. When submitting your video link, please make sure access has been granted so our adjudicators can view your material.
All activities are at the University Center for the Arts on the Colorado State University campus (1400 Remington St in Fort Collins, Colorado). Participating students will be responsible for transportation to/from all events.

2026 OboeRAMa and BassoonaRAMa
Since 2006, BassoonaRAMa and OboeRAMa, have brought together bassoonists and oboists of all ages! The day-long event features today's multifaceted musicians who explore what it means to have a life and success in and around music. Guest clinicians include chamber and orchestral musicians, college professors, music researchers, and professional reed manufacturers.
We welcome bassoon and oboe students of all levels, teachers, and enthusiasts to join us for a day of masterclasses, academic presentations, reed roundtables, recitals, and discussions about all things bassoon and oboe.
For 2026, our guests are Paul Hanson, bassoon, and Nermis Mieses, oboe.

2026 Percussion Camp Registration
Percussion Camp for high school students includes instruction on how to successfully prepare and audition to become a collegiate music major. The workshop focuses on the four primary percussion instruments: Mallets (2 and 4 mallet), Timpani, Snare Drum, and Drum Set as well as insight on applications, scholarships, equipment, and skills in being a college student.
We will accept committed high school students, ages 14 and older.

- June 1-2, 2026 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. daily

Cost and Registration
- $150/student; clinic session handouts and lunch each day
- Optional: Students may sign up for private lessons during the camp (an additional $30 per half hour paid directly to the lesson instructor).
- We will accept committed high school students, ages 14-18.
